Meet the Taylor Made Models
Cierra L. Curtis
Founder and CEO, Doll The Beauty Co.
Cierra is the founder and CEO of Doll The Beauty Co. She dropped out of college to pursue her passion in the beauty industry, and earned both a cosmetology license and a teaching cosmetology license in 2005. She started out working in hair salons and discovered her niche in eyelash extensions two years later. Cierra earned her certifications through Xtreme Lashes and became a national trainer, traveling the country teaching aspiring beauty professionals. In 2013, Cierra founded Doll The Beauty Co. and now works as an advanced lash artist, an advanced permanent makeup artist, and an apparel designer.
In addition to founding her own company, and inspiring others to live their dreams, her proudest achievement is her children. She is full of admiration for the “mompreneurs” of the world – those women who dare to be different, and those who raise babies and businesses. For inspiration she keeps close the words of John Burroughs, “Leap, and the net will appear.” She knows there will never be a perfect moment to make that big move, but she trusts in herself and in God to make it work, and this faith allows her to dream bigger and take on new challenges. Her next goals are to make her business a household name in the spheres of beauty, fashion, and female empowerment, and to become an author and public speaker.
A self-proclaimed foodie, Cierra loves to eat good, laugh loud, and be around good people and good energy. She loves to dance, shop, and – perhaps her favorite of all – sleep! But her love for sleep doesn’t stop this artist and go-getter from being an awesome mom, entrepreneur, and a trustworthy and dependable friend.
Terry Fasano
CVO/Designer, UrbanBohoChic Jewelry
Terry came from a background in psychology, visual media arts, and metalsmithing to found her company UrbanBohoChic. She designs wrap jewelry for the Spirited, Elegant and Fierce Bohemian. Each wrap features a magnetic clasp allowing the wearer to style it as they want, in their moment. In creating this beautiful jewelry, Terry has made it her mission to run her company in an ethical and fair-trade manner. She makes her jewelry with quality hand-made and vintage objects, pays her artisans and suppliers fairly, and sources her materials from small, family-owned businesses all over the world.
Terry works hard and aspires to grow her business even more, but she is also passionate about maintaining a healthy work, life, and fitness balance. She is proud of having completed a marathon, but she’s not stopping there! Terry lives by the belief that one should always keep moving forward, and so her next goal is to complete an ultra-marathon.
Self-described as caring, smart, and a little crazy, when she’s not running, experimenting with new jewelry designs, or hunting for that next super special stone to include in her jewelry, Terry loves to party, dance, garden, meet new people, and learn new things. And when trying new foods she likes to try them twice, just in case it wasn't done right the first time. Her role models are Michelle Obama for her intelligence, elegance, and style, and Oprah for her success in rising from little to become “the Queen of Everything.”
Makenna Lenover
Student, Bryn Mawr College
Makenna is a student at Bryn Mawr College studying Anthropology with a minor in Biology. She hopes to earn her PhD in Human Evolutionary Biology with the goal of working as a tenure-track professor and a forensic anthropologist for the military. She is a mindful, resilient, and determined young woman who has earned many accolades for her academic performance and her passion for helping others. She is a Francis Velay Women in STEM Fellow, a Hanna Holborn Gray Fellow, the FIRST Bio-Anthropology Summer Science Research Fellow at Bryn Mawr College, and a nominee for the Beinecke Fellowship. She is also a two-time recipient of the Miss Pennsylvania Kevin J. MacAleese Service Scholarship.
Makenna says her friends would describe her as thoughtful, driven, glamorous, and happy – painting the picture of a well-rounded woman and reflecting Makenna’s belief that “you can be it all.” Her talents include public speaking (she has published 3 TedX talks), reading up to 1300 words a minute, writing her own children’s book, competing in pageants, and founding her own nonprofit. Makenna is passionate about service, and her nonprofit Little Known Help Zone donates supply kits to low-income schools to combat educational inequality. Her coloring book Color Creates a Brighter Future teaches children how to start service projects of their own.
For fun, Makenna competes in pageants. She loves dressing up, feeling confident, and sharing her ambitions and goals with others. She wants to be remembered as someone who was kind, confident and giving – making a difference with both her head and her heart.
